TRIBUTE TO AN ICON OF ENTERPRISE

ADORNMENT OF “THE ROYAL GARLAND OF EXCELLENCE”

Leola Anifowoshe is, to put it quite simply, the near-mythical stuff of which entrepreneurial legends are made. I have the rare honor and humble privilege of presenting her dazzling and totally engaging saga of entrepreneurial pre-eminence.

To discover your calling is to discover your purpose. To discover your purpose is to fulfill your destiny. To fulfill your destiny is to play your own ‘music of fate’ to the appreciative and sheer listening pleasure of your Creator, and thereby come under his magnificent grace and splendor.

That is the story of Leola Anifowoshe, who at the tender age of thirteen years precociously came into an awareness of her prodigious interest in beauty, vitamins, health, and wellness.

A few years later, she would be diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder called Sarcoidosis, and fortuitously came into the knowledge of just how important alternative medicine and nutritional supplements can be. This was what happened. Leola found that, for her, certain foods precipitated hair loss. Some research led her to discover that certain natural supplements helped repair the damage her condition was causing. She created her first hair product, Nzuri Elixir. It turned out a roaring success, as the essential ingredients in the elixir grew back her lost hair. The trichologist in Leola was born. She was inspired to start her own business. The entrepreneur in Leola was born. Soon after, in 2010, she hosted her first natural hair show in Houston, Texas. The rest of her story, as they say, is history.

Leola is an alumni of the University of Houston, where she majored in Business and minored in Sociology. Today, she is an MBA, acclaimed Herbalist, Holistic Therapist and Chief Trichologist, with eminent specialization in hair loss and repair.

In one of the most phenomenal, and no less amazing wonder tales of African American business legend, the release of her liquid hair vitamin, Nzuri Elixir, and her NzuriVida, the 10-in-1 Total Body Restoration Tonic for Stress and Energy, would catapult Leola to the rarefied heights of the African American Hair Care industry. In an amazing twist to an already palatable success story, Leola was propelled into marriage to a man who also happens to be a Master Herbalist, and the company’s Co-Founder.

With the establishment of Naturalife Nutrition in 1995, their brand has leaped into the league of the most successful and fastest growing African American businesses in the United States, introducing in excess of one hundred products that include hair growth shampoos, conditioners, oils, weight loss products, anti-acne products and male vitality enhancers. Nzuri also offers an organ cleansing system that provides essential nutrients to the heart, kidney, liver, and spleen. After entering into a partnership with H-E-B in 2014, Nzuri products can now be found Online and in major stores across Texas. Also, in one of the most mutually-beneficial alliances of her brilliant career, Leola partnered with actress Torrei Hart to produce “Heavenly Hart Hair Care by Nzuri.”

Accolades and recognition, have, not unnaturally, come in their torrents. Leola has been awarded the top honor “Community Hero” from the Top 50 Blacks in Health and Wellness as well as the City Mayor’s Proclamation for the Healthy Hair Society Day in the City of Houston.

Leola, whose current pre-occupation is the planning and execution of her massive, annual Texas Black Women’s Expo, coming up in Houston, Texas, on August 12th, 2017, has six wonderful children with her husband, Tessy Anifowoshe, and she is a committed contributor to organizations like Sarcoidosis Awareness, Lupus Awareness and Water 4 Africa.

Therefore, Be It Known To All And Sundry, that in recognition of this totally awe-inspiring excursion into entrepreneurship, Mrs. Leola Anifowoshe, in accordance with the Statutes And Instruments establishing Royal Biographical Institute
Leola Anifowoshe , is hereby adorned with “The Royal Garland of Excellence” by Royal Biographical Institute, and herewith all the rights and privileges incident to this most excellent decoration.
