Our Vision

As an American African, I dream of the day thousands of powerful, black, business women join in unity and respect; connecting to one another as the waves are to the sea. Through the Texas Black Women’s Expo, we will invite, unite & excite our communities to stand together and make our presence be known to both advertisers and consumers.

Today, black women are starting businesses at astronomical rates! My sisters, in honor of you, I ask you to join me in this enterprise to raise our voices and our presence to enhance Our business world. In July, this expo will patronize the strength of black women owning businesses and create a direct impact on black economics.

Why Summer Time

Since July and August are the  the hottest months of the year in Houston, it resonates with our belief that your business has to be hot as fire in order to explode.  Hence, this year’s theme: “Hotter Than Summer!”

Our History

Meet the Coordinator, Leola Anifowoshe
I have been specializing in expositions since 2009, where I hosted my first Natural Hair event (state event name) on Westheimer Rd., in midtown Houston, Texas. After filling the location at aloft, I launched another Natural Hair Expo (state event name) at the Power Center in 2010.  As the events grew larger each year, so did our event centers; we then moved to the NRG Stadium to accommodate our extensive crowds. In recent years, I am pleased to express the success of these events; attracting over 20,000 consumers and increasing the exposure for hundreds of vendors.

As the first Texas Black Women’s Expo in the state, I want to evolve my calling to empower business-minded women. However, this expo extends an open invitation to everyone to attend and grow. Ultimately, this platform will allow women to cultivate their marketing skills and connect directly with their customers.
